We want you to write for us! The Teenage Fiction blog gives you the opportunity to review books you love (or hate!), let other people know your opinions about teenage fiction in feature articles and even showcase your own creative writing.
BOOK REVIEWS
Write a review of a book you have read. It might be teenage fiction, non-fiction, a graphic novel or even something different like short stories. We would particularly like reviews of the books choosen as part of the Leicester Book of the Year Award. Reviews should be between 100 – 300 words.
FEATURES
We want to know your opinions about books, reading and literature. Should you have to study Shakespeare in English class? Is Harry Potter really that good? Why should people still read books when they have XBox and Playstation? If these or other questions are burning issues for you, why not write a feature article and share your views with the world. Articles should be between 300 – 1000 words.
CREATIVE WRITING
Write a short story and take the first step to literary stardom! OK, so maybe being published on the Teenage Fiction blog won’t make you a millionaire, but even Jacqueline and JK had to start somewhere. Send us a short storyof between 1000 – 3000 words and we will publish it on the blog.
